A new survey at 14 years old is ongoing

Please note that this new survey at 14 years old is only conducted in French.

The new survey at 14 years old is ongoing! At first only available for the parents of the study, teenagers now have access to their online questionnaires.

How does it work?
For this new phase launched in 2025–2026, our survey methods have evolved. The questionnaires are now completed online.

Information letters have been sent to parents first, then to all teenagers. All of them can access to the online questionnaires using a smartphone, a computer, or a tablet. The questionnaires are short and include a few surprises!

Both parents and teenagers can complete their questionnaires at their own pace.

What topics are discussed in the questionnaires?
As the Elfe study is multidisciplinary, the questionnaires address a wide range of topics in order to study adolescence as a whole. They include themes that have already been covered in previous questionnaires, as well as new topics designed to track societal changes or developments related to adolescence.

For example, they are asked about their diet, environmental concerns, friendship and romantic relationships, family and school, sleep, and their personality.

How many questionnaires are available for teenagers?
Teenagers can complete six questionnaires, each taking approximately ten minutes. An additional questionnaire is used to collect self-reported measurements of height and weight, as these data are essential for puberty tracking.
